Following the success of the hugely popular PatrolDocta air intake range, we introduce the PDC GU Y61 Patrol Winch/Bull Bar. In years gone by, PatrolDocta has offered a simple winch bar. We believed it was time for an upgrade and embarked on a 6 month long development process to design what we believe will become the Nissan Patrol GU bull bar – a new benchmark in High mount style winch bars. We had many goals in design, including, improved styling, secure mounting, increased approach angle, a reliably flat winch mounting surface and wing strength. The design process began with the heart of the bar, the winch cradle. Utilizing 5 mm pressed chassis mounts which capture 3 sides of the chassis rail, the cradle is held secure with 10 high tensile bolts, The pan is constructed of 5mm HA250 Steel, laser cut and pressed. Pockets are strategically cut in the pan to aid airflow and reduce weight. The next critical area of a bar is the tubular wing section. The 3 tubes of bars wing form a tripod structure. This results in tubes being placed in tension and compression when the wing is impacted. This is a far stronger design than using tubes in bending and results in a lightweight wing with far superior strength.   Key features...

          Head light protection hoops fitted standard....           Extra wide winch face surface to accommodate for BIG Winches Giggle pin Red-winch Etc..           Tri wing tube bracing for maximum strength.           Infill plates between grill and wing tube with provision for external winch button....     The entire GU bull bar/winch bar is fabricated on a rotary fixture which aligns all components in the perfect position before the fixture is rotated to allow our skilled fabricators perfect access to every weld while the bar is still clamped securely in place. The result is a reliably accurate and symmetrical bar which will fit your car snugly and evenly. Once fabricated, every GU bull bar is sandblasted to remove any scale from the steels surface and provide a coarse texture for the powder coat to key into. The first layer of powder coat is a zinc rich coat, which aids in preventing corrosion, followed by a satin black top coat for that lasting look. NOTE no light mounts are fixed to the bar as there are so many light options its hard to accommodate for everyone! There are several clamp on light mounts available online that are simple and cheap and can be used where ever you want on this bar.
